Last week, Sidara was delighted to host the Senegal London Energy and Investment Forum at our London Showcase in 150 Holborn. The event, led by the Senegal Chamber of Commerce brought together senior representatives from the Government of Senegal, Ambassadors, international financial institutions, and strategic investment partners for focused discussions on the country’s expanding energy landscape and emerging investment opportunities.

The Forum serves as a key platform connecting Senegal with global investors, technical partners, and policy leaders. Through presentations and panel discussions, participants explored the country’s evolving energy market spanning natural gas, renewable energy and emerging technologies.

Dar and Penspen, our sister companies, have a long‑standing presence in Senegal, with Dar’s involvement dating back to the 2010 Leona Wind Farm project. In attendance we were pleased to welcome Ali Tabaja, Dar’s Area Operations Director for West Africa, and Penspen’s CEO, Peter O’Sullivan alongside wider brand representatives working in the energy sector. Building on this foundation, Sidara continues to support a range of strategic national initiatives. This includes the ongoing work by Penspen and Dar with GES Petrogaz on the Cité des Énergies Master Plan and its Feasibility Study.

The discussions provided insight into Senegal’s position within West Africa’s investment landscape and its ongoing economic development. Contributions from expert panels and networking sessions offered a clearer understanding of the country’s approach to sustainable growth and long‑term planning.
